Welcome to the Deep Dive Mentor Training!

We know you have been working hard to build rapport and trust with your mentee, and we are excited that it is now time to learn how to go a bit deeper with them!

This training is self-paced and should take approximately 1–1.5 hours total to complete, depending on how much time you spend reflecting and filling out your roadmap.

Step 1: Open the Roadmap

Throughout the training, you will pause periodically to reflect and complete sections on this mentoring roadmap. This helps personalize the training to your specific mentoring relationship and provide direction for how to best support your mentee moving forward.

The videos will guide you on when to pause and enter responses—please complete the roadmap as you go rather than all at once.

We strongly recommend:

Opening the Jotform on your phone using the QR code
OR opening it in a separate browser tab by clicking the button

This will make it easier to switch back and forth while watching the videos.

If you do not complete the roadmap in one sitting, your progress may save if you use the Save button at the bottom of the form. It will email you a link to continue later (but make sure you click “skip making an account” and then enter you email address – it has not saved if you have not entered your email address).

However, since we are still testing this feature, we recommend saving longer responses somewhere else temporarily if you plan to complete over multiple sittings/days.

Step 2: Watch the Videos in Order

This training includes 8 video modules that build on one another. Most videos are 4-6 minutes long, with a couple that are longer.

Please watch the videos in numerical order on the YouTube playlist (linked below).

Step 3: Answer the Reflection Questions for Each Video

Each YouTube video has a reflection question posted in the description, at the end of the video, and as a pinned comment (all the same question).

Please answer the question by leaving a comment directly on the YouTube video.

Our hope is that mentors can:

Learn from one another
Hear different perspectives
Encourage one another through shared experiences

You are encouraged to read through other mentors’ responses as well. You are welcome to like or comment on other mentors’ responses as well!

After You're Done with the Videos

Make sure your roadmap was submitted (you should receive a copy in your email)
Attend your scheduled Wrap-Up Zoom Session
Connect With Your Mentoring Specialist. They will schedule a follow-up conversation with you the next couple of weeks. This conversation is designed to debrief your roadmap, help personalize next steps, support your relationship with your mentee, and answer any remaining questions.

This is because some graphics and visuals on the videos may be difficult to see on a phone screen.
